Operating much like the traditional procurement process, the
SIBRO™ Plus Sealed Bid Auction procurement
tool provides a platform in which buyers post a Request for Quote
(RFQ) for specific goods or services. Over a period of days or
weeks, suppliers view the RFQ online and place secure bids (bids
that cannot be viewed by other suppliers). At the close of the
sealed bid auction, all bids are available for review by the Buyer
to evaluate for award. This tool is most useful when regulations
require that pricing be obtained through sealed bid competition.
Because all activity is conducted over the Internet, time is saved
and paperwork reduced.
